It is summer time year round here in sunny Los Angeles, CA. and a working air conditioner is definitely a must. Earlier this week a long time client’s A/C mysteriously stop blowing cold after a recharge. After Diagnosis we found that the problem was the evaporator.

This 128i convertible is in great condition but in need of air conditioning!

First step in our process was to remove a lot of interior pieces including the dash to locate the bad evaporator.

Once we could reach the evap, we replaced it with a BMW original part. The old part pictured above had a leak which we detected with dye. If your A/C is blowing warm soon after recharging you may also have an evap leak, as it is common on the 1 series and the 3 series models. It is not uncommon to see this issue on other BMW models.

After we replaced the evap it was time to put all the pieces to this interior puzzle back again. Light work for our experienced techs. If your BMW or Mini A/C is having any issues give us a call. We can diagnose your problem and fix it correctly and speedily.
